Qatar reduces flight frequency due to Airbus delivery delays

Qatar Airways has reduced a flight frequency for fifteen routes because of the delivery delays of Airbus A320neo aircraft. The affected routes include flights to Boston, Houston and Miami,  Copenhagen, Jakarta, Manchester and Adelaide.

Last month, the carrier's CEO Akbar Al Baker expressed his discontent with the problems of the A320neo aircraft by threatening to cancel six plane orders from Airbus and choosing Boeing instead. Qatar Airways was due to receive the first of 50 A320s in December last year but refused to take delivery after saying the Pratt & Whitney's engines supplied were inadequately tested for the Gulf region’s high temperatures.
